It is normal to feel all kinds of different emotions each and every day. Naturally, we do not like feeling difficult emotions because they are uncomfortable. Unfortunately, pushing them away or burying them tends to make it even worse. Next time you feel one of those emotions come on, try the RAIN technique below!
Below is a really cool emotions journal you can use to help you navigate how you are feeling. Each day, you look through the 52 different emotions and pick which one you felt the most that day and then write about it. This practice can really help you learn about your feelings and also is therapeutic to write about them. Today is ALL about talking about how you feel and seeking help from a therapist or a counselor! Things do not have to be seriously wrong for you to speak with someone! It could be even for your own personal development or a simple check in. I know this is a very difficult time for everyone so do not be shy in asking for help if you need it You can reach me any time through the chat or email and we can schedule a time to connect or you can also speak with your parents about wanting to talk with a therapist. It is super cool because therapists are now doing sessions over the phone or video chat. Even though we are socially distanced does not mean you can't speak to someone. There are SO many resources out there! Know I am always here for you!
They made an episode two of Some Good News! I hope it warms your heart as much as it warmed mine! Below is a wonderful yoga routine to try out if you are feeling stressed or need to relax your body. Ragdoll is my personal fave!
Below are instructions on how to create a self-care jar!! The way it works is super cool. If you are feeling stressed, down, angry, or just need a little spark of joy, you grab a piece of paper in your jar that has a different self-care technique on it. Im making one for myself now. I hope you enjoy! |
